He was remanded to December 7th on a charge of robbery and murder. Air Berriman, manager of the Commonwealth Bank at Hawthorn, was shot while approaching the Glenferrie Railway Station, and died on October 23rd The bandits robbed him of a bag containing £IBSO, and decamped in a motor-car. Murray was subsequently captured at St. Hilda, but the police are still searching for another man who, it is alleged, actually fired the shot.
