Y.M.C.A. CLASSES
GYMNASTIC COMPETITIONS. The first annual gymnastic competition in connection with the Y.M.C.A., Khandallah classes, were held at the hhandaila'll Town Hall on Wednesday last. Mr .T. A. Duffy acted os judge. Com petition was keen, and at the conclusion Mr Duffy congratulated the classes on their'excellent showing. He paid tribute to work of the assistant instructors, Miss Ayling and .Mr B. Steptoe, who have conducted the classes throughout the season. Tho results are:— Ladies’ Gymnasium ChampionshipMiss A. Clark (93 points), 1; Miss H. Smith (91 points), 2. Girls’ Gymnasium Championship—Miss Majorie Laurenson (90 points), 1; Mis* Grace Hayes (89 points), 2. Boys’ Gymnasium Championship --F. Kelly (85 points), 1; T. Thompsett (75 points), 2. Occasion was taken by the members ol the boys class to present Mr Steptoe with a fountain pen, and in a nioe little speech, by a junior boy, he was thanked for the good work he had done for them.
