SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY

Happiness was writ largely over th« whole proceedings at Mrs Archie Wilson’s concert to seafarers at the Sailors' Friend Society on Tuesday, and the visitors were many. The performers were Mrs A. Wilson, the Misses Allen, J. Banks, Miller. Neileon, E. Pnrdie, Willoughby, H. Fancourt, A. McDonald. and Messrs Baker. Prince. AYncent, P. Wilson, and Master X. Glover.

Mrs Wilson and Misses Willoughby were at Die piano. Mr J. Moore, missioner. spoke on “Wets and Drye'* in relation to temperance. Pledges followed. The competitions gave groat pleasure. Tho prizen came from Mrs Glover and the hostcas, and went to the Mahana. and oilier ships.
