RECORD ENTRIES IN SHEEP CLASSES
SUCCESS OF WELLINGTON PHOTOGRAPHERS (By Telegraph—“ Times” Special Reporter.) PALMERSTON NORTH, October 30. Weather prospects for the spring show at Palmerston North are for once excellent., for at the onening this morning the sun was smiling on the good and the bad, on the just and unjust. As a consequence the executive is in jubilant mood, and if the.promise holds good is anticipating establishing a new record in gate receipts. Realising how much the success of the show depends on the public patronage, the committee has spared no pains to provide accommodation against all weathers, and all stock is under shelter. Ihe big increase in sheep entries called for a great deal more room than this section had last year, but the committee rose to the occasion, and exhibitors had nothing to complain of under this head.
