CRUISERS’ TOUR
WELLINGTON NEXT MAY. ELEVEN DAYS' STAY. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, October 28. The programme for the world-cruise of the naval squadron hais been issued by tlve Admiralty. Tho squadron will leave Devon port on November 27th, and will consist of battle-cruisers and light cruisers. After visiting the African, Asiatic and Australian ports, the light cruisers will spend a week at Lyttelton, from May Ist, and the battle-cruisers will stay 11 days at Wellington, from April 27th. They will reach Auckland on May 10th, and will lemain a week. Thence they will sail for Fiji for a six daj’s’ visit. Afterwards they will visit San Francisco.
The light cruisers will then proceed t-o South American ports, while the battlecruisers will go through the Panama Canal to West Indian and Canadian ports. The squadron will reach England on September 9th. It is understood that the Dunedin is not likely to take part in the world cruise, as ©he will probably be handed over to the New Zealand Government to replace the Chatham. New Zealand has applied for 90 additional naval ratings, which will shortly be supplied.
