NEW LINK IN CHAIN

At Santa Barbara (California), where scientists are excavating, they are convinced that the ektills of men uncovered there are of greater age than the Neanderthal man of Central Europe. Dr. J. Harrington, of the Smithsonian Institute, states that he is certain the skulls are a new link in the anthropological chain, now ‘definitely established. Tools and implements were also found, which are greatly in advance of those supposedly employed by Neanderthal man. The distance between the disteqded jaws of th© Santa Barbara skull is seven inches.
