BRIDGE COLLAPSES
FARMERS ISOLATED.

PALMERSTON N,, October 29. A suspension bridge qver the river at Otaki gorge collapsed on Saturday night, the cause of which is not known. It is a sipgle span bridge of 2Ooft between. rooky cliffs and 75ft above the water of the river.
Several dairy fnrmere have been cut off from their daily trips to the factories.
The bridge wan erected ten yeans ago at a coat of £llOO.
