TO RELIEVE SURPLUS IN U.S.A
GOVERNMENT’S PLAN

The United States Government is considering a plan for exporting 50,000,000 bushels ct wheat to Germany to aieist in meeting the crisis which is threatening .widespread suffering. The plan is favourably regatded by President Coolidgc, and is liked with the reparations offer. The cost of the grain and the export charges will he met by a two-year loan from the War Finance Corporation. Details of the pioposal have been submitted to the Secretary for Agriculture by a committee of leading grain men, who eoe a method of assisting the American farmer and preventing famine in Germany at the same time.
