KELLY APPEAL CASE
THIRD TRIAL ORDERED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. (Received October 27, 5.5 p.m.) MELiBO URNJL, October 27. Tho David l Kelly appeal was upheld, and a new trial for manslaughter ordered. After two trials on tho charge of murder, Kelly was found guilty of the manslaughter of a woman named Overall. His story was that Mrs Overall told him that if ho found her dead he was to cremate her body, and not tell anyone. When she died, he burned her body and dropped the ashes into the Yarra. Kelly was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment, with hard labour. Kelly appealed, and tho High Court reserved its decision from the Full Court’s decision.
