It is authoritatively Mated that memlKT.s of ibe imperial Conference are endeavouring to conclude the sittings by the middle of November at the latest, ami possibly earlier. The only important .subjects awaiting the conferences, apart from deltncc, are the etatus of Indians within the Empire and a treaty making the powers of the dominion*. The former will probably be concluded next week, and the latter lias already Iktcu remitted to a special committee, which is now in consultation with the Foreign Office. Delegates attach considerable importance to the committee's report, which, if adopted by the Conference, will determine the treaty-making status of the dominions for the first time in the Empire’s history. SUBJECT UNDER REVIEW. There are also several committees investigating various subjects, including the migration group settlement, financial co-operation between Britain and the dominions with reference to the development of enterprise and defence, and contributions by the dominions, all of which must be submitted to the tmperial Conference, and will probably occupy the last fortnight-.
