Rolls), arrived from Vancouver at Auckland on Friday morning, via Honolulu and Suva, a full ship of passesgers. -She berthed at the eastern side of the Queen's wharf at 1 p.m. to disembark her New Zealand passengers and discharge 1000 tons of cargo and 2500 cases of fruit from Suva, including pines, bananas, and tomatoes. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Remuera, which arrived at Auckland on Friday to disembark 565passengor* and discharge mails and about 4000 tons of general cargo from London, will reach Wellington on Friday. The steamer cleared London on September 19th, and left Southampton at 3 p.m. the following day, after embarking her passengers. Fine weather, with the temperature considerably above the normal in the Caribbean Sea, prevailed to Panama. Arriving at Colon on the 4th the Remuera proceeded straight through the Canal at.d anchored at Balboa the same evening. Passengers wero given shore leave, and the voyage resumed at 3 p.m. the following day. On the 16th a stop wan made at Pitcairn Island at 8 a.m., and four boatloads of islanders boarded the steamer and bartered fruit and curios with the passengers an<i crew. ORMONDE AN OIL-BURNER. The Sydney oiiico of tho Orient Lino has received a cable stating that the, R M.S. Ormonde left London on October ISth for Sydney. During a few' months of idleness in England the Ormonde was transformed from a coal to an oil-burn-ing vessel. She is regarded as tho largest vessel burning oil fuel running between England and Australia. It is expected that she will reach Fremantle on November 15th.
