DUNEDIN BURGLARY
SUSPECT CHARGED. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, October 26. At the Oity Police Court, Joseph Thomas Christie, charged on remand with, on September 29th, having broken and entered the warehouse of the Otago Farmers’ Co-operative Association at Dunedin and stealing therefrom the sum of £9B las 2d in money and 35s in postal notes, of a total value of £IOO 10s 2d. the property of the association, was further charged with, on September 30th, having broken and entered the premises of the Otago Farmers’ 00-operative at Mosgiel and stealing therefrom the sum of £26 3a 2d in money, the property of the as* sociation, and £2O m money, the property of Rubina Pearson. Mr H. N. Bundle, S_M., was on the bendh, Mr H. E. Barrotwclough appeared for accused', and Chief-Detective Lewis for the police. After lengthy evidence had been heard for the police, the accused was committed to the Supreme Court for trial at the next sittings.
