C. D. B. DEBENTURES
STEADY FLOW OF APPLICATIONS. A GOOD PRINCIPLE PUT INTO PRACTICE. Tho idea of tho Christchurch Drainage Board of making their present Debenture Issue available in small denominations so as to avoid the loss of interest on idle money is working as desired. Small investors realise that gilt-edged investments with such security are not obtainable every day, and applications are steadily flowing in. In some instances the applications are only for dGIOO, but each one receives the same treatment aa tho application totalling several thousands. On the other hand the Christchurch Drainage Board are able to abKonb the funds as they oome in, and bo avoid the loss which is inevitable when debentures of this nature are negotiated in a lump sum. It will be recognised that the Christchurch Drainage Board have put a good principle into practice, and nave taken a step that gives on important advantage to nil investors in the Dominion. C.D.B. Debentures are issued in denominations of JBSOO and JCIOOO, all bearing the sntno interest of 51 per cent, per annum. Applieati>n forms are obtainable from all Sharebrokers and Ranks, or from the sectetary of the Drainage Board, Christchurch.—Advt.
