OLD MAN SEEKS DIVORCE
"WIFE’S “DOUBLE"’ APPEARS. EXCITEMENT IN COURT. (Sydney "Sun” Cable.) NEW YORK, October 25. Tho latest sensation is that W. E. Stokes, a famous hotel magnate, aged 73 years, is seeking a divorce from hifi handsome rod-haired wife, aged 37, allegedly with the object of preventing her participation in his estates. Excitement was caused in the court when Mrs Stokes’s double, with similar Titian locks, admitted that it was she, and not tho defendant ; who had kept many of tho assignations which the prosecution alleged against the colespondents.
