DANCE RECITAL

MISS KATHLEEN O'BBIEN AND PUPILS.

Preparations are now complete for **A Persian Romance,” to be presented by Miss Kathleen O’Brien and pupils at the Opera House to-night. The part of the dancer is to be taken by Miss Kathleen O’Brien, and Mr Lionel lncl and Miss Thelma Aitken will take the speaking .parts of the Shah and his favourite wife respectively. The ballets will be gorgeously frocked, and the opening scene will be introduced with an Oriental song by Mr Ben O’Brien. A very charming cabaret scoria, with Jimmy Atholwood as the mischievous Bell Boy and Ruby Fisher as Mile. Shimi, whose charms cause n number of amusing complication*, will also bo & feature of the programme. Wee babies are always favourites, and these mites will be shown in a song ballet, entitled "Whose Buby Are Your” Over forty children will take part in the Elizabethan 6cene, in which some old-fashioned songs and dances will be introduced. Queen Elizabeth and Sir Walter Raleigh, in beautiful array, will preside over the assemblage. There will also he a quaint Dutch scone and a Russian ballet. The soloists will be Nancy Gillespie. Lorraine Melton. Nellie Doull, Marjorie Vnuse, Beryl Ward, Joune Rnine, Hazel Martin, Zita Haro, and Rhyllis Linklater. Tho programme will include an Irish jiff by Gladys Needham, a Mexican dance by Eric Hart, and a dance. “To the Spring.” by Mist; Mnvtiln Myers. A wonderful evening’s entertainment is assured.
