MANAWATU SPRING SHOW
EXCELLENT ENTRIES. The entries for the above event have now finally closed, and in numbers exceed those of last year considerably. Taken all round, the entries are excellent, and every promise is given for the thirty-eighth grand metropolitan show being a greater success than its numerous predecessors. In the sheep section the entries this year nuinber 471, as against 288 last year, and pigs tins year 64, last year 44. Some of the sections in the cattle class are not so good as Inst year, chiefly because of the bad winter the fanners have had, but, taken all round, the entries are nearly a hundred above the figures for last year. Once more the public arc asked to note the days of the show are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week. Any information that is required may he obtained from the secretary, Box 8;S, Palmerston North, or ’phone 54.V5.
