Bon Naughton, who was admitted to tho 'Wellington Hospital at 10 p.m. on Thursday night, suffering from tlio effects of poison, and with his throat, cut, was reported last night to bo progressing favourably. The whole 'ground at the Eastbourne [Reserve has ot late been disc-harrowed and sown with grass seed. The new ! cricket pitch has been completed, and altogether a very satisfactory sports | ground will bo available fn two or three weeks.
