TIMARU SHOW
HORSE CHAMPIONSHIP.
Per Press Association. TIMARU, October 25. People's Day at the show was favoured with fine weather and attracted close on a record attendance. The day was taken up mostly with horse classes and produce, in‘all of which there were very large entries. Champiouships were awarded as follow : Draught Stallion—J. Patricks imported Bddlewpod, by Tlopline; mare, J. Patrick.
Harness Horses—Miss J. Rutherford’s Blackthorne.
Pony—F. Hay hurst’s Suzanne. Saddle Horse —D. and A. Gillander’s White Heather. HUNTING CLASSES.
The hunting classes constituted record entries, the championship for best hunter being secured by J. N. Grigg’s Rubicon.
Rhodes’s Hunt Challenge Cup for team of three qualified hunters was won by Otago. Miss D. Mowat, who rode all three, horse*, gave a meritorious display of horsemanship. The best lady rider at tho show went to Miss C. McLachlan, master of the Waimute lluni.
