WRONG CLASS OF MEN. CANADA’S METHODS ADVOCATED. Per Press Association. CIII’iSTC'HUItOH, October 25. The Dominions immigration policy waa the subject of some remarks hy Mr A. W. Carpenter at a meeting of the North Canterbury executive of the Farmers’ Union. He contended that under tho Government’s policy the Dominion waa going to get the wrong sort ot men. Canada's immigration agents, lie said, went to agricultural shows with lantern lectures, and got the men born and brought up in agricultural pursuits interested in dm advantages offered bv Canada. It waa decided to discuss tho question at the m-xt meeting of the executive.
