HOSPITAL BOARD
YESTERDAY’S MEETING. CONTRACT AUTHORISED. The Wellington Hospital Board met yesterday. Present were —Messrs F. Castle (chairman'. J. H. Bertram, J. W. Butler. D. Campbell, C. H. Chapman, W. Cole, Rev. Dr J. K. Elliott, C. M. Luke, A. J. McCurdy, G. Petherick, C. B. Ilobinson, K. Vine, C. A. Williamson, E. W'indley, and Mrs McYicnr. Leave was granted the Rev. 11. Van Stavern, Mr \V. Appleton, and Mi A. Horn blow.
The following recommendations of the finance committee were passed :—That tho chairman and Mr C. M. Luke be authorised to sign and affix the of the board to the contract of Messrs G. D. Dirk and Co. (£19,445) for additions to nudes’ home; that Mr C. Colquhoun be appointed clerk of works at a salary of £7 IDs per week. Other matters dealt with will be found under separate headings.
