The British immigration quota in tbs present year is likely to be filled • by Noveiiiber 3rd. The officials expect an unprecedented rush of immigrants from the British Isles as soon as the November quota opens. The total British quota for the year is 77,340, at the rate of 20 per cent, a month. I.'i> date, 61,872 people have been admitted. Cable advices indicate that there are trough British immigrant® to more than complete the quota, ready to start the race for Ellis Island. Probably many will he turned back. The officials believe that the dosing of immigration for the remainder of the year will servo to turn the trend of British immigration to Canada
