CASES ON REMANZ
BEFORE THE POLICE COURT. Appearing on a charge of failing to account for certain rent moneys totalling £94 15s 2d to Messrs Dwan Bros., Wellington, a further remand to the 31st inst. was granted in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday in the case of Alfred John Scoon. The chief detective intimated that the auditors were stili proceeding with investigations. A remand was also granted to the same date in the cast of Ernest Henry McGinitv, a boilermaker, who was charged with wilfully setting lire to the premises of 70, Tory street, whioh are occupied I by accused’s father, Thomas MoGinity. The charge against a young domestic servant, who appeared for tlie alleged theft of £l4 in money, two pounds of tea, and a cheque for £4 3s sd, tlie total value of the artioles being £lB 7s 4d, and belonging to Eileen Kirk - caldio, was also remanded.
