DIETITIAN APPOINTED

CHRISTCHURCH, October 24. At to-day’s meeting of the North Canterbury Hospital Board it was decided to offer Miss Trood, at prebent chief dietitian at the Vancouver Hoapial, the position of dietitian at the Christchurch Hospital at a salary ol £.450 per annum with beard and lodging and travelling expenses to i\c.v Zealand. Dr. Fenwick said the dietitian was a modern thing. It was necessary to feed the patients with food whioh would most quickly restore them to health, and he stressed the fact that aoienoe had shown that proper dieting weed lives, and the board should have a proper dietitian.
