CONTROVERSY' IN SYDNEY.

In order to perpetuate the meiuory of the late Victor Truiuper, the X’aldington Municipal Council has been seeking to change the name of a local cricket ground from Hampden Park to Trumper Park. The proposal caused much public controversy, which has ended by the Alinis ter for Lands refusing Ins consent.
Tho ground is called after a Governor, Lord Hampden, and the XI inis ter did not- believe in changing already well-established names.
