WELLINGTON MEN AT WANGANUI.

The representative team of the Wellington. Wholesale Soft Goods Warehouses, which played cricket on Labour Day at Wanganui, against the Wanganui 'Wholesale and Retail combined, -were honoured as guests of Mr I’. G. Moore, at Bushey Park. The visitors were shown over the Park by Mr Moore, and were greatly impressed by the beautiful surroundings, also by the*pedigree stock of Herefords. After afternoon tea (which was served at the house) keen interest was shown in the medals and trophies which had been won by Mr Moore with hi.s prize stock. On Sunday morning the visitors were taken for a trip up the Wanganui River. On Monday night they were entertained at a smoke concert, the chair being taken by Mr Luxfore. Some of the musical items were of a high order. Mr C G. Wilson, who was organiser and captain of the Wellington team, and also principal speaker, thanked, the Wanganui team for their hospitality and for all kind references to himself and his team.
