PROSPECTS BRIGHTER. Th j weekly unemployment returns for the sfeven days ended 22nd inst. show a total of 101 unempLcjed in the Wellington district The following list gives some indication of the vajioUs trades represented. The figures in parentheses indicate those fit for light work only. Labourers still top the list as regards numbers, there being more than fifty per cent, on the list classed an labourers. Despite the fact that there is a comparatively large total to make up the unemployment i» spread over many occupations, and it may be safely said that at is generally on the decrease.
