Large numbers of people, including parties of Boy Scouts and Girl Guides, inspected many floral tributes at the base of Nelson’s Column from all over the world, including two large wreaths from French and Spanish sailors, and prominent tributes from the branches of the Navy League in Australia, Canada, and ether dominions. The wreaths from New Zealand and South Africa still bore some of the ice in which they were sent. The High Commissioners of India and the dominions sent beautiful floral tributes.
