RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION IN STATE SCHOOLS. LABOUR AND CAPITAL. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, October 22. The Anglican Diocesan Synod resolv’d to earnestly commend to Parliament nd the people of the Dominion he legislation proponed last session to provide religious instruction in the State schools. After a long discussion it was resolved on the voices that the Synod approves of the principle that for active services labour is justly and equitably entitled to some measure of control in and some share in. the profits of the industry, after payment of a fair rate of interest for non-active service of capital, and the Synod urged members to support and use every means in their power to get placed on the statute booh tho Companies Empowering Bill introduced by the Premier in last session, which would enable companies to bring into effect the above principle.
