RIFLE SHOOTING
KARORI CLUB. The Karori Rifle Club fired the first match of the club championship on Saturday last at the ranges 300 and 600 yards. Considering the conditions were not for good shooting, some very good performances were made, notably by the treasurer of the club. Rifleman A. 3. T. Butler, whose 94 must be the best oil tile range. Rifleman F. W. Ching made 92, and includes an excellent 48 at the latter range. The scores are as follow :
