An inquiry was held after the Wainui Handicap into the interference met with by Suggestion and Ardour at the turn - into the straight. The committee decided that though both horses were in- , terfered with, the evidence did not point to any particular rider being in fault. With regard to the case or Parearua, who fell in the Rimutaka Handicap, the committee found that it was caused by Parearua getting on to the heels of a horso in front of her.
