MAORI’S FAST TRIP
LYTTELTON IN 11 HOLES. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHiUBiCH, October 20. The ferry steamer Maori, with no passengers, berthed at Lyttelton this morning after an 11 hours’ run from Wellington. She left Wellington IUo minutes after the Wahine, and after catching her up, eased down and entered the port 25 minutes behind her. The Maori enters the ferry service tonight as an oil-burner. The Wahino will proceed later to Port Chalmers for conversion. It is expected that the time of the service can he greatly reduced by the use of oil fuel.
