BETTING IN A FACTORY. Per Press Association AUCKLAND, October 19. In the Police Court, Alfred Newman and his trite, Mary Newman. ware charged with soiling liquor without a license at their lodging-house. Newman was fined £SO in default a month’s imprisonment. The woman was convicted amd discharged. Miles Blaokie was fined £lO for betting in a factory bv laying doubles among his fellow employees.
