SENSATIONAL INCIDENT
BULLOCK PUNT OVERTURNS. A sensational accident occurred in Pelorus Sound. According to the ‘‘Express'’ Havelock correspondent Messrs Turner Bros., the well-knewr Pelorus sheep and cattle farmers, wcr*. pt-ming a mob of 25 bullocks 10 Havelock. where they were to ho delivered to Mr A. Vickers Just off Cullen s Point, dose to Havelock, tin? tide caught the punt, which was overturned Mr Bert Turner, who was cn the punt, was thrown into the wnt< r amidst the snuggling cattle, and huu * very narrow* escape, but wa*» picked up* by tho launch wnich had been towing the punt. Four of tho bullocks reached land, and there is a po>sibility that other* might hare made their way ashore, but they have not been differed yet. A number of farcascs have been seen floating in the Sound. The punt has not yet been recovered
