In view of the parlous condition of jthe cattlemen, owing to the slump in cattle, tho Government is introducing a bill x*evising the rente in the cattle country areas. The rents will be reassessed for a period of five years, after which they will be again assessed, and lomain in force for a period of seven to ten years. The bill will have retrospective effect to July Ist," 1921. Credit will be given to any over- . payments of rent for the retrospective period.
