WINTER STORMS WANING
RIGOROUS WEATHER’S RESULT. PAVING WORK DELAYED. Paving work by the City Corporation works department has been considerabljf delayed during the past few days, owing to the exceptional severity of the weather and the southerly gaJe which has been raging. In order to keep the paving gang occupied, it has been given some work to do in Lambton quay. The rigorous days, it is hoped, are now past, and with a reasonable chance the men will soon be back again on the various tasks in the main city districts which are awaiting them.
