It appeared as if its fate was in the balance, hut as the | debate developed, particularly in reI gard to the potentialities of its research work, it seemed likely to secure a renewed I cate cf life. Mr \V. F. Markov emphasised the value of the institute’s research, and pointed out that its work, in this respect, was only beginning to he understood. He added that after tho Wembley Exhibition had closed the institute could rely on receiving a valuable accession to its nernmaent exhibition of the dominions’ meet recent productive possibilities. Tho discussion concluded with a decision to .submit tlie whole question to a committee for investigation and report.
