N.S.W. GRAIN CROP WITHERING. By Telegraph.—Press Asm.—Copyright. SYDNEY, October 17. An official report on the grain cron of the Western Districts of New South \\’ales states that the continuation of the dry weather is seriously affecting them. In some areas where three weeks ago there promised to be record returns, the wheat is withering off. Tlie outlook for a reasonable harvest in the main western wheat-belt, is at present extremely poor, but immediate rain might result in a recovery. Hordes ot caterpillars are causing much damage tp green crops other than wheat.
