Though weather conditions on tlie Liverpool range yesterday were tricky and baffling owing to high, clioppy winds, the shooting generally was of a high average. So far tlie usually troublesome mirage has not been much in evidence. Steenson (Oomaru) won £8 m the Newmarch Match, of 10 shots, 900 yards. His score of 49 was one below the possible, which the winner, Ifowarth, a local shot, put up. V. Donald (Wairarapa) won £3, and several other New Zealand competitors take £1 prizes in various events.
