MUSICIAN’S END
PREFERRED DEATH. WOULD NOT FACE CANCER. James Blundell Huntington, who waa recognised aa one of the leading musicians in Western Australia, was found dead at his home in Perth. He left a letter, which said: '‘l hove been informed that I have cancer in the ear. Mother (morning his wife), end I know what it is to have trouble and expense like this, so I have determined to cut it shoirt. I know it will be a shock* but it is better than a long-drawn-out trouble. Harry (a sen) will take care of Mother, and m.v daughter is shortly to be married, so I am not very necessary.” Alongside the body was a bottle of poison. Deceased was to have conducted a community singing session at the Perth Town Hall on the day he took his life.
