She carries 187 bags mail and 283 parcel-receptaclee for New Zealand; mail due here October 23rd. LABOUR DAY. On Monday, October 22nd (Labour Day), the Post Office will be closed in all its branches. Mails due to close on Monday, October 22nd, will close at midnight on Sunday, October 21st. These mails will include correspondence cleared from the city and suburban receivers at midnight on Sunday, October 21st. There will be no clearance of city and suburban receivers between midnight on Sunday and midnight on Monday. There will be no delivery by postmen on Monday, October 22nd, but on Saturday, October 20th, the postmen’s branch (on first floor, General Post Office, entrance from Featherston street) will be open from 8 j to 9 p.m. for delivery of correspondence j directed to addresses in the city and suburbs.
