SIGNED—THEN FELL BACK DEAD!
A detective hurried to Plymouth Infirmary, wrote down the depositions of a girl inmate: the girl signed—then ftll back dead. These were the dramatic incidents described at Plymouth Police Court when John Henry Dennis, aged 54, was charged with the murder of Helen Hoare, aged 21. Hoare and Dennis had been employed at the same establishment in the town. The girl became ill and was taken to the infirmary, where sho is alleged to have died from th? effects of an illegal operation.
