GOOD PROGRESS MADE. The annual report showed that the Bgys r League had made further progresduring the pa?»t season, and they had a small credit balance at the end of the year Reference was made to the lose sustained bv Wellington cricket end sports in general through Mr G. Bell, wh > has been connected with the league for some years past, leaving this c ty for Auckland. It was decided to place on record the good work done by Mr Beli for the boys of Wellington.. Rule 25 of the Boys’ League was altered to read ‘Senior and intermediate pitches shall be 22yds. and junior pitches 20yds” Previously intermediate pitche-. were 20yds. During the season the Wellington teams journeyed to Christchurch plav the annual representative games. Some interested parties assisted at a concert held in the Town Hall to rai'-e funds to assist the lads to make the trip te Christchurch, and while there was not a large attendance of tho public, there was sufficient present to make the necessary profit for the boys’ expenses. Thanhs were due to the artists who generously assisted at this concert, and to those who helped in other ways. Thanks »o the Press and City Council wore abo passed for their attention during oast season.
