NO AGREEMENT YET NEW ZEALAND UNION MAT STEP in. - Intimation - was received from the Wanganui Rugby Union last evening that it considered it best that'the blew Zealand Rugby Union should take the matter of the Wangahui-Taranaki boundary in ■ hand and: settle it. Tbe Wairoa-Sub-Union had written to the-; Wanganui ‘ body stating that the Patea Chtfr had.-ignored its request to send delegates, to a conference. The Patea. Union also stated that the Manawapo * River boundary at present in the Taranaki Union was the only one which would enable them to run the subunion successfully. Mr E. Wylie stated that he had told the unions concerned .that failed to arrive, at a settlement the matter would be dealt with in Wellington. Mr S. Dean (chairman): We have the., power to deal with 6uch a matter. We 6ent a request for a settlement to Wanganui and Taranaki, and Taranaki ignored the communication. Mr Wylie :"AVe gave them three alternative proposals, and couldn't get any of them.

Mr Dean: I think that we should tell them that unless they-take some steps to settle the matter we will take it in hand.

It was resolved that the Taranaki Union should be informed that unless they come to an agreement with Wanganui regarding their mutual boundary that the New Zealand Union Would deal with the matter.
