AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRIES
REPORT OF TARIFF BOARD. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. (Received October 10, 10.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, October 15. The annual report of the Tariff Board states that one of the board’s greatest troubles has been the slowness of manufacturers to take advantage of the deferred' duties provided by tne 1921 tariff, which become operative when a manufacture is established in the Commonwealth. During the year 83 commodities, mostly from Germany, were gazetted as liable to the dumping duty. There were 187 applications for the imposition of the duty.
