MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE
RESULT OF COLLISION. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, October 15. Arising out of the death of Julia Carboy, who died as the result of injuries received in a collision between a car and a gig on the North Loburn road on September 29th, a charge of manslaughter was laid against Louis Pain, driver of tho gig, at the condition of the inquest, held at Rangiora to-day. Tlie coroner (Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M.) found that accused caused Mies Carboy’s death by driving without lights. Pain was remanded on bail till October 23rd.
