Millions of dollars’ damage has already been done. Three persons have been seriously burned. Twenty thousand men are fighting the fire and dynamiting buildings in an attempt to stop tho progress of the flames. Los Angeles i« in the direct path of the fire, which is eating its way through vast groves of magnificent trees covering the countryside, which is considered the most beautiful \section cf California, and is inhabited by Eastern millionaires, who have laid out largo estates.
