MINISTERIAL The Hon. W. Nosworthy (Minister flow Agriculture) is expected back in Welling* ton from the South Island on Tuesday morning next. The Hon. C. J. Parr (Minister for Education and Justice) leaves Wellington for the South Island to-night. On Monday, the Minister meets a number of deputations in Christchurch, and he then goes to Oxford in connection with the proposal to establish a consolidated school there. On Tuesday he leave® Christchurch in the morning for Temuka. and visits also Pleasant Point, Albury, and Fairlie. The Mackenzie County Council will entertain him to dinner at Fairlie, and the Minister will give an address there cm consolidation. Next day he is to visit Timaru and inspect the boys' and girls' high schools there, leaving in the afternoon for the Waitaki district. On Thursday he goes to Balclutha, staying there the night and visiting the Balclutha High School the following day. He then proceeds to Invercargill, where he will visit the Borstal Institution and lay the foundationstone of the Invercargill High School. On Monday, the 22nd instant, the Minister leaves Invercargill for Dunedin, where he may spend a day or two, afterwards visiting Oamaru and returning to Wellington about the end of the week. The Hon. D. H. Guthrie (Minister for Lands) leaves Auckland for Wellington on Tuesday next. . ■ The Hon. J. G. P. .Welch, of Masterton, who has been on a visit to the South Island, passed through Wellington yesterday on his return to the Wairarapa. Messrs W. Goodfellow and G. Bqyes, of Hamilton, have left for Australia, where they intend spending a month's holiday. The death is announced from Christohuroh of Mrs Selig, wife of Mr Phineas gelig, formerly manager of the Christchurch “Press' Company, after'a few weeks' illness.

The Rev. J. J. North, who was for many years a Wellington minister, returned last month from a world tour. He spoke last night at the Vivian street Church, on the religious situation ,of the world as he sees it, making special* reference to Roman Catholicism and AngloCatholicism in Britain, and indicating a way out of the impasse. Mr F. B. Smith (agricultural expert to the British Overseas Settlement Delegation), who has already toured th« Auckland, North Auckland, and East Coast districts of the North .
