TRIED TO CUT THROAT
Frederick Wfestcott, aged 58, • storekeeper, -lining at Balh am, was charged at the South-western Po 1 ice Court with attempting to commit suicide. Police-constable Ogilvie said the prisoner casne up to him bleeding from a wound in the throat, saying: "I’ve tried to do myself in, but the knife wasn’t sharp enough. I’m down and out.’’ A man in court having offered the man employment, the magistrate discharged him.
