(Received April 17, 8.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 17. Nineteen pits are now idle in the Maitland coalfields. Whenever Major Crane, the district magistrate, has sat in tho Newcastle and Maitland districts the coal mine employees have thrown the pits idle The miners even threatened to boycott tho races if Major Crane attended them.
