REDUCED POSTAL RATES
INCREASE IN MAIL MATTER. PCX PBXSS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, February 5. Inquiries made at the post office showed there has been a considerable increase in the matter posted since the reduction of the postal rates. Each succeeding day has shown an increase on the amount of mail handled compared with the quantity usually passing through the post at this time of the year. The increase in posted matter since the reduction is approximately estimated at 10 per cent.
